The Empty Chair
After having implemented free coaching sessions, I have come to the conclusion that there is something that everyone has in common and that is fear, insecurity and mistrust….
That is why I would like to share with you today an exercise that you can do at home very easily and that will help a lot to calm this anguish
This exercise is called the empty chair, it is an exercise that we use in psychology and coaching very often, where we are going to put our fear in front of us, we are going to give it a color and a shape and we are going to talk to him, we are going to ask him what he is doing here and we are going to make him our friend, an ally… a support
MEDITATION of the Empty Chair
Take a deep breath
We take a chair or a cushion and put it in front of us, we sit down
We invite fear to come, it may be mistrust, fear, loss of control … what is hurting and taking away the peace
Take a deep breath
In silence we are going to ask him how he is, what he is doing here and what he feels…
We are going to invite you to sit next to us and help us look at the situation in a different way
Take a deep breath
We are going to embrace our fear, because the only way to live with it is by understanding that it is part of us, but it cannot control us unless we leave it.
Take a deep breath
Fear helps us because it protects us … He is not our enemy … and slowly we deliver this feeling to the universe … And we realize that we can’t control anything … just live and let life come to us
Take a deep breath
With our fear at our side and not in front we can see life and opportunities in a better way
Now we are going to take him by the hand, thank him for being with us and we will ask him to help us because now we must all work together
There is nothing to fear … it is time to give ourselves to life
Let the universe take charge
Take a deep breath
